Megan Triplett

Therapist Intern in St. Louis, MO

Clinical Specialties in Development:

Hi, I’m Megan! I’m a Counseling Intern at Marble Wellness.

My Education and Professional Background

I studied Psychology and Art at the University of Missouri- Columbia, earning bachelor’s degrees in both. I’m currently completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Missouri- St. Louis, and I plan to graduate in Spring 2027.

I currently work with CHADS Coalition for Mental Health, mentoring children ages 6-12 in social and emotional development using the CASEL 5 Competencies Framework. This experience has given me a strong foundation in core social and emotional skills that have been shown to support children emotionally, academically, and behaviorally, and has provided me with evidence-based practices that I’ve personally seen support clients’ growth.

For the last three summers, I’ve volunteered at Annie’s Hope for their children’s bereavement camp, supporting children navigating grief and loss. This experience has emphasized the importance of approaching grief work with a developmental lens and creating a safe space for stories to be shared and heard. I’ve seen how feeling connected, validated, and safe to express yourself can support healing.

As part of my training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, I completed practicum working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds and ages—supporting individuals navigating grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, and career indecision, as well as couples working on communication skills, emotional connection, and understanding one another in new ways.

How I Like to Work in Therapy

I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples. Having the opportunity to walk alongside clients at different stages of life and support their growth is innately valuable and fulfilling to me. I’ve found it meaningful to be a source of support for those facing grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and life transitions.

I approach counseling with a person-centered lens, highlighting the importance of authenticity, collaboration, and creating an environment free of judgment. Feeling heard, respected, and empowered—while moving at your own pace—is essential groundwork for growth.

Working with children through CHADS Coalition for Mental Health and Annie’s Hope has given me a deep appreciation for the honesty, resilience, and incredible growth that happens in childhood and adolescence when children are given a safe space to express themselves. I also enjoy working with adults and couples, because the process of strengthening self-awareness, discovering insights, and recognizing patterns is fascinating, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to witness this growth.

What I Enjoy Most About Therapy

I am so grateful for the opportunity to be let into others’ worlds—exploring their emotions, anxieties, excitements, and stories. Earning this kind of trust is the greatest honor. Holding a safe space for navigating hard moments, finding life improvements, and celebrating accomplishments is truly wonderful.
